5"x7" oil on paper
I had these two frames that I bought at a great price. I didn't have any 5"x7" canvas panels so, I thought I'd experiment. I took scrapbook paper that I cut to fit. The paper absorbed the first coat of oil paint but once that dried it was easier to apply the next coats. I was very pleased with the results. I'm sure I'll be painting on paper again. I just need to go visit the scrapbook store to get some interesting paper.

Your pears are great! I do the same thing- find the frames then paint the pears. I always have little boards ready to go - I take old paintings that are really bad, cut the boards up and paint right on top of the old layers of paint:)
Thanks Emm, you know I didn't even think of cutting boards to fit. God knows I have some really bad art, now you've given me a way to recycle them.
