I just finished another 6x8 oil on canvas panel. I'm considering this one for my daughter's school auction or I might paint something larger for it. I did, however, had difficulty capturing the highlights on the wood. It's working better but I think I need to practice reflections.
Hi Cheryl, I really like the composition of this piece, and the flower is lovely...great color and delicacy in the blooms.
Just wondering if you have ever thought of posting your paintings without the frame around them? I think it would show off your work better. For me, the wooden frame tends to overpower the delicacy of the painting...just wondering.
Welcome to my blog-
The Painted Canvas!
I love color and I love to paint! I grew up in Massachusetts and have been in California going on 16 years. The down side of moving here was leaving family and friends. The upside was I got back into painting. I'm lucky to be able to paint daily. This blog is a way of journeling my progress. Please feel free to leave a comment about my works.
