"Shadow Boxing" in progress

16"x12" oil on canvas

I've been kick boxing since last May, and I love it!! Yes, this turned into another one of my goals...bikini this summer! I know, I know, your saying what, at your age! Why not. I came across a photo of an old pair of boxing gloves and thought it fitting to paint them. I'll show you this painting in its entire process.

Wow, Cheryl! That's great that you are kick boxing - and if the added benefit is being able to wear a bikini, then it's even more of a WOW! I really like this painting so far... the colors are rich, and somehow you have already made these gloves look soft and old. Looking forward to seeing it completed.

Happy New Year to you and your family! May this goal and any others you have made be achieved with fun, laughter, and a great sense of fulfillment!

Thanks Joanne!! I just hope I'll have confidence to actually wear it, LOL!
Happy New Year to you and your family, too!

How fun are you! love the gloves. I thought you would have painted them pink or lilac for effect. You're so gorgeous, you don't need a bikini to turn heads.

Actually the gloves I use are pink, lol. I liked the well worn leather of this photo vs. a contemporary glove. Thanks for that huge compliment- blush!
